CHRISTIAN GILISSEN

I’m Christian Gilissen, a pianist and composer from ’s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, born in 2011. I discovered the piano at the age of three with my father, and my first lesson on my fourth birthday. It quickly became the centre of my world. By nine, I had written my first composition, Sonatina No. 1, Op. 1, marking the beginning of my journey as both performer and creator.

At ten, I was accepted into the Conservatory of Tilburg, where I studied for two years under the guidance of dedicated mentors who shaped my early musical foundation. Since the age of twelve, I gave my first formal recital—a debut met with warm and enthusiastic response. That same year, I have been continuing my education at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, refining my artistry and expanding my repertoire.

Alongside my musical studies, I have attended the International School Eindhoven (ISE) since the age of four, where I pursue my academic education in harmony with my musical development.
